I'm ordering our holiday cards this week. Which ones should we choose? @Minted has some funny options and also some that are more artsy. We went with funny last year (because Jafta had a broken arm) but Lord knows this year needs some humor too. (And yes. I do this really early every year. Did you know that high altitudes can cause insomnia? I didn’t. Until I googled it at 3am. It’s 6:30am and I haven’t slept one bit despite having been exhausted all day. As it turns out, the "Little Snowie" machine is great for adults, too. Today in "let's throw money at the empty void of boredom that is quarantine" ... we got a snow-cone machine. We've entered the "camping in the backyard" stage of quarantine. A little light post-dinner wrestling. No one can beat Jafta anymore. It's all theater and him being a good sport.   View this post on Instagram   India tried her hand at Japanese red bean mochi today (daifuku). We had fun mispronouncing the name and rolling the dough. The verdict: 2 of 4 kids really liked it. I thought it was good but always have to do a mental override with sweet red bean paste. I still associate red beans with ham and cornbread. 😂 This was from an @eat2explore kit (more on that in my stories, but it's a monthly recipe . . .
