Every Wednesday I feature a child recently highlighted by a local Wednesday's Child newscast to share the stories of children from around the country who are waiting for a family. Perhaps their stories will inspire you to consider opening your home to a child needing a family. For more information and to . . .
That’s What SHE Said with Cindy Wang Brandt
Cindy and I discuss how to infuse our kids with faith as progressive Christians, and how people who have deconstructed their faith can create meaningful connections to faith traditions with their kids. Cindy is the author of Parenting Forward: How to Raise Children with Justice, Mercy, and Kindness which you can find here. And you can find Rage Against the Mininvan here. . . .
That’s What SHE Said with Kate Bowler
Kate is the author of Everything Happens for a Reason: And Other Lies I've Loved. We are talking about the human impulse to put a bow on suffering, and how it can be harmful to try to make meaning of loss as a way to circumvent grief. Kate's book can be found here. And you can find Rage Against the Minivan here. . . .

Pass the Mic with Alicia T. Crosby
Today I'm chatting with @aliciatcrosby, a justice educator, activist, and Duke theology grad student, about the emotional labor that white people can unintentionally place on black people, why we are still protesting, and how we can engage in responsible policy change. You can find Alicia at https://www.aliciatcrosby.com and on twitter and Instagram at @aliciatcrosby. . . .
“but Jafta doesn’t match” | On Thursdays I post from the vault. This post is from September 2009.
On Thursdays I post from the vault. This post is from September 2009. India is in a stage where she is sorting and categorizing everything she sees. She likes looking at things in her world and pointing out the things that are the same, and then the things that are different. It's a great skill for her to be developing at this age (and probably one bolstered by lots and lots of Sesame Street). However. One of the things that she has been noticing, as of late, is the fact that she and Karis . . .
