Every Wednesday I feature a child recently highlighted by a local Wednesday's Child newscast to share the stories of children from around the country who are waiting for a family. My hope is that this can broaden exposure for the children highlighted, but also serve as a reminder that these children represent thousands of children currently in the foster-care system. Perhaps their stories will inspire you to consider opening your home to a child needing a family. For more information and to . . .

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kristen Howerton (@kristenhowerton) I got to steal a little time with this one on Sunday. They are working her hard at UCLA! No days off and nonstop filmmaking. She’s exhausted but loving it. A brief museum trip and dinner at CPK before she headed back to dorm life and cafeteria food. This coming weekend Karis leaves for a theater camp and Kembe leaves for a . . .

My girls will sit for hours and entertain themselves with toys. They don’t need any prompting from me. They create little stories. They . . .

I moved India into UCLA today. For the next 3 weeks she will be part of their filmmaking program. She was selected along with 24 other students from around the world to have a crash course in screenwriting, editing, directing, and cinematography. Dropping her off at a dorm felt like a crash course in leaving her at college and if the mess of tears was any preview for the real thing, I am going to very much be a woman who is Not Okay. Still, so excited for this opportunity for her, and crazy . . .

I’m not really sure what I had planned for this page, I guess it just seemed like a good idea at the time. If you click on it, you can see that I’ve really done a lot with it. Ahem. Anyways, I need to pull it together and create something a little more interesting. Except that I don’t really have any frequently asked questions. Well, . . .
