Springing forward

March 20, 2017

Daylight savings time, man. We are still recovering over here. It's always a hard transition getting my kids back to that schedule when their body clocks have adjusted to waking up an hour later. This morning getting them out the door was not fun. Although, despite my complaining about the transition, I actually prefer when the days "spring forward." I like longer days and more light in the evenings, and personally, wish that we could just keep the clocks that way year-round. This time of year . . .

March 20, 2017

Here are some things I read this week that made me think. (These are just snippets - click on the title to read the whole thing.) Her teen son called her an “intolerant” liberal. Instagram Roundup

March 18, 2017

A look back on some of the interesting things from the past week.... Excited for Jafta to be playing on a few songs at beer and hymns on Sunday. Wednesday’s Child: Joy

March 15, 2017

Every Wednesday I feature a child recently highlighted by a local Wednesday's Child newscast to share the stories of children from around the country who are waiting for a family. My hope is that this can broaden exposure for the children highlighted, but also serve as a reminder that these children represent thousands of children currently in the foster-care system. Perhaps their stories will inspire you to consider opening your home to a child needing a family. For more information and to . . .
