How the Christian orphan care movement may be enabling child abandonment

I shared my concerns about the trend of churches opening orphanages in third world countries instead of working at keeping children together with their parents. Tolerable table games with young kids
Figuring out how to play games with my kids has been a chore, because the variance in age ranges has always meant that I had enthusiastic older kids wanting to play, and not-quite-mature-enough younger kids ready to steal turns, move chips, and hulk-smash the whole operation.
