Every Wednesday I feature a child recently highlighted by a local Wednesday's Child newscast to share the stories of children from around the country who are waiting for a family. My hope is that this can broaden exposure for the children highlighted, but also serve as a reminder that these children represent thousands of children currently in the foster-care system. Perhaps their stories will inspire you to consider opening your home to a child needing a family. For more information and to . . .

ON THURSDAY'S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM MAY 2011. A couple weeks ago, I was talking with some other bloggers about our messy bedrooms.Ā We all had a couple things in common: we all write about our lives on the internet, we are all relative perfectionists, we all keep the front of our homes neat and tidy, and we all have secret shame about the state of our own rooms.Ā We laughed about the ways we divert people from ever entering our rooms, and confessed our mortification over . . .

So proud of this girl! Her first time back on the stage since the pandemic and she did such a great job of expressing herself, even in a mask. Iām loving seeing the kids get to do theater again. Gotta love a kid casually rolling up to school in a tux because he has a choir performance later in the day. He wasnāt thrilled with me playing paparazzi but I love it. All of it. Giddy he decided to be in choir this year. Packing up our holiday cards today. I went with the one you guys voted on . . .
