I hate New Year’s Eve. And love it . . . sort of. But mostly I hate it. It’s my birthday, which is actually part of the reason I hate it. New Year’s Eve is one of the worst days to have a birthday. My oldest turned seven today. SEVEN! Man, that feels like a graduation away from “little kid” and into big kid territory. In lieu of a birthday party, Jafta’s wish for his birthday was to go to Knott’s Berry Farm and ride all of the roller coasters with no younger siblings around to cramp his style.
