Wednesday’s Child – Owen

July 5, 2023

Every Wednesday I feature a child recently highlighted by a local Wednesday's Child newscast to share the stories of children from around the country who are waiting for a family. My hope is that this can broaden exposure for the children highlighted, but also serve as a reminder that these children represent thousands of children currently in the foster-care system. Perhaps their stories will inspire you to consider opening your home to a child needing a family. For more information and to . . .

Life Lately

June 26, 2023

I moved India into UCLA today. For the next 3 weeks she will be part of their filmmaking program. She was selected along with 24 other students from around the world to have a crash course in screenwriting, editing, directing, and cinematography. Dropping her off at a dorm felt like a crash course in leaving her at college and if the mess of tears was any preview for the real thing, I am going to very much be a woman who is Not Okay. Still, so excited for this opportunity for her, and crazy . . .

THE POST WHERE YOU PROVIDE ME WITH SOME FAQ’S I CAN ANSWER | ON THURSDAY’S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM OCTOBER 2011.

June 22, 2023

ON THURSDAY'S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM OCTOBER 2011. I had my blog re-designed about a year ago, and I added an FAQ page to the menu bar.  I’m not really sure what I had planned for this page, I guess it just seemed like a good idea at the time.  If you click on it, you can see that I’ve really done a lot with it. Ahem. Anyways, I need to pull it together and create something a little more interesting.  Except that I don’t really have any frequently asked questions.  Well, . . .

LAST WEEK IN IPHONE PHOTOS | ON THURSDAY’S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM SEPTEMBER 2011.

June 15, 2023

ON THURSDAY'S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM SEPTEMBER 2011. I think it’s been more than a week since I purged the iphone photos.  I’m a wee bit behind on blogging. And emails.  And life in general.  Ever have days where you have so much to do that you just sit, paralyzed, staring at the computer screen, sort o opening and closing browser windows wondering where to start and then realizing it’s been two hours and you’ve done nothing?  Yeah.  I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. . . .
