He’s conservative. I’m liberal. And we are trying to have a civil discussion about the election. It’s 5/18/16 and my friend Paul Martin and I are talking about this week’s happenings. Is the transgender bathroom bill a government overreach? Paul and I find we disagree on this one. Will Trump tap Palin as his running mate? Can Hilary win the conservative vote? Great conversation! Here's my thing (and you touched on it a bit). Everyone is so upset about the bathrooms because the are "afraid of men in women's bathrooms, and our poor daughters." What about boys, transgender or not? No one is upset about these "scary men" in the bathrooms with our sons? This is not an issue of safety. It's an issue of discrimination.
