Jafta Solves the Haiti Process

March 2, 2009

Here’s a fun little stream-of-conciousness, as a shirtless Jafta eats a ring pop he got at a birthday party. India was napping and daddy was gone, so we had a long heart-to-heart that I just had to capture on film. First he starts talking about the baby, then quickly to asking why Kembert (Keanan) can’t come home when they visit. Then he has a lightbulb: fhe Haitian guys are doing paperwork! That’s what is holding things up. So insightful. And just as quickly, he’s back to discussing the fact that he has been able to skip his nap today – the one true thing he knows right now.

So cute! I can’t count the number of conversations we’ve had in this vein. Paperwork. *groan* Paperwork has been the topic of a LOT of conversations with our kids. They can’t, for the life of them, figure out what could possibly make so measly little papers take so long. Who knew PAPER could be so powerful?! No wonder paper covers rock. Perhaps there is some kind of socio-political commentary in that game that I never surmised until now. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Kristin,
I heard of a name for the baby!
Yesterday I heard the name Kira and thought it was SO beautiful and it goes with the ‘a’ theme of your beautiful kiddos ๐Ÿ™‚
