It was fun to watch the inauguration this morning with the kids. India didn’t pay much attention, but Jafta seemed excited about it. Needless to say, I am thrilled for him to see someone who looks like him, being sworn in as our elected president. Today is a historical day!

So they were fed today after all! Actually that was my kids’ identical breakfast.
I think Jafta gets it more than my first graders do. We watched it today at school and I kept explaining why it was so important but I’m not sure if it clicked. I hope it’s something that to will remember as they get older.
