Kristen in Port au Prince…

January 13, 2010

Mark here, I just spoke to Kristen about an hour ago. She’s OK and actually got some much needed sleep last night. They were able to sleep inside at the Livesay’s house, which seems to be structurally sound in the midst of being surrounded by piles of rubble. Karis is doing better, she has stopped throwing up. Keanan seem oblivious to what’s happened and is happily playing.

Kristen and Karis are confirmed on a flight for Miami tomorrow…. the big question is whether or not the airport will be open.

Please pray for Kristen’s safety, strength and peace.
Pray for our dear friends who live in Haiti who are experience lose and uncertainty.
Pray for the countless unknown people in Haiti who seemingly had nothing and now have less.

I will pray for their safe return. You don't know me, but Kristen was kind enough to email with me about adoption back in 2008. I thought of your family when I heard about the earthquake. It is good to hear that they are safe.

Mark thank you for updating – we are praying and thought of you right away. Thankful that your family is safe and that Keanan had his mama with him and is oblivious to the disaster as only a little one can be.

THANKYOU!!! I stalk read Kristen's blog regularly. When I heard the news (just today) Oh how my heart ached for the people. My first thought went to Tara and her family and then I remembered Kristen said she would be going for a visit! SOOOO glad you posted an update. Soooo glad she is safe. I pray you are doing alright. Multitude of prayers for Kristen and Karis…I pray she is able to get home soon!
Amidst such devastation God is still Righteous, God is still merciful, God is still loving. Don't know why…I just felt the need to put that out there!
