I found these green divided trays on Zulily- which continues to be my go-to spot for great deals online. Green Toys is one of my favorite toy companies – they make their products from recycled milk jugs – and apparently they’ve ventured into tableware for kids. I got them in green but they are also available in orange and turquoise. They are dishwasher safe, unlike the melamine sectional trays we’ve used in the past. Shaun White’s line at Target is my favorite source for affordable clothes for my boys in the styles that they like. They sent us a couple samples of their summer boardshorts and my boys are fans. The kids and I were invited to a media preview of California Adventure’s new Cars Land and I wrote about our favorite attractions in a post at Babble. Spoiler alert: we loved it. Some folks have asked where I get all the boys’ colorful skinny jeans. First, let me just say that this style is ALL THEM, and likely related to a few teenagers down the street who skate around in various primary colored pants. Anyways, I searched far and while for affordable skinny jeans and finally got a tip-off – they are in every hue and size at the OCC Swap Meet for JUST TEN BUCKS. Also, if you are local to Orange County, tickets just went on sale for Ringling Brother’s new show DRAGON. For a discount, use the code MOM when checking out for any shows between now and August 5th. Clek sent us a new booster seat in just the nick of time, as India was barely fitting into her 5-point harness anymore. I really like these booster seats, for a couple of reasons. First, their company’s mission was to create a car seat that appealed to bigger kids, which is smart because our state’s car seat laws mean our kids are in these things until they are practically driving themselves. I think their fun patterns are appealing to older kids, especially the Paul Frank patterns. But the really great feature of the Clek booster seat is the way it clicks into the car’s car seat prong thinies (what are those called? You know what I mean). I like how stable this makes the seats, and it’s really easy to get them in and out. I may have to get one for Kembe as well. Those are some of the things we’re digging this week. Have a great weekend!
