last week in BeReals … I am kind of loving this app for the small perks into everyday life. No filters, no ability to game a highlight reel, just surprise snapshots of regular life.
Reunited and it feels so good! So fun watching all of the short films they made in the last few weeks.
Were we 30 minutes from UC:LA but still had to stop by for a hug? Yes. Have I been stalking the instagram of @artsxpress looking for signs of Karis? Also yes. All of the kids are off doing their thing this week and I’m missing them. Jafta was an awesome big brother and visited Karis at camp for her final performance because I couldn’t. I have no pictures to show of Kembe . . . he’s literally flying airplanes every day (with supervision!) but won’t take photos because it’s “awkward”. I think he might regret that some day. Jafta started working at the fair this week. If you see him, say hi! Karis came home today and we get India back tomorrow. I’m ready for us all to be together again.
Kids doing things …. This is such a wild summer where it feels like all of my kids have suddenly grown up so much. Kembe is in Mississippi at @obapexcellence’s Solo Flight Academy with @obap_lwfa. India is learning film production at @ucla and Karis is at Concordia University for the week with @artsxpress. Jafta got his guard card and will be working security at the OC Fair and is already taking two summer college classes. I am loving watching my kids following their passions! (And enjoying a slightly quieter house).
