We had a nice couple of days in San Diego perusing museums in Balboa Park and seeing a show at @theoldglobe. My kids were complaining that they were spending their spring break at museums full of students on school trips. The #assholeparent lives on!
Fun fact: You can avoid the $20+ entry fee to the Carlsbad Flower Fields by parking just above them on Armada Drive. It can be accessed from Palomar Airport Road or Cannon Road and Legoland Drive, but you can’t see the fields unless you actually park and get close enough to see over the fence. There are benches and a couple overlooks for a perfect view.
