ON THURSDAY’S I POST FROM THE VAULT. THIS POST IS FROM AUGUST 2011.
I’m back from a whirlwind weekend at BlogHer in San Diego, and while I’m itching to share stories and photos, I’m also up to my eyeballs in unpacking, writing deadlines, and repacking. (That’s right. We are scheduled to leave for a family vacation four days after I returned home from BlogHer. Smart planning, right there.) While you wait with baited breath for that BlogHer recap, here are some other things I wrote: Over at MamaPop, I’m talking about a new cable show in the works where a bunch of Hollywood moms dole out parenting advice. I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m looking for a mentor-type to help me with parenting, Lisa Rinna comes to mind.
These women are so relatable. And diverse. On a more serious note, this week at Curvy Girl Guide I talked about how my family of origin affects my eating and exercise habits, and how it has sometimes been a challenge to overcome the modeling I observed as a child in relation to food. And don’t miss my guest post over at Mouthy Housewives, where I answer the age-old question: should I tattoo my boyfriend’s name on my body? Spoiler alert: the answer is no. But go read it and pretend I didn’t tell you the ending.
