If you give a mouse a cookie: home edition. I found a $500 Subzero fridge on Craigslist but then decided I had to remodel the entire kitchen to make it fit. I’m a delight.

Arrested Development is one of my favorite shows, and it’s based in Orange County and full of subtle references to real places here. One of them is “Skip Church’s” … a nod to the real Dick Church’s that is near my house. It’s been a popular but slightly dated brunch spot for several decades and right before COVID hit my friends @timtaber and @tracytaber became part owners, and used the shutdown to do a full retro renovation and also create an incredible patio outside. They’ve got tons of spaced-out outdoor eating and an amazing brunch menu, and they’ve even started hosting some taco nights in the evenings. If you are local, check @dickchurchs out!

The Orange Circle has blocked off traffic allowing restaurants to spill out into the streets and spread tables apart. I love seeing places getting creative to make things safe. It felt good to have a proper date night for the first time in a while!
