They made their own “best friends” matching tees. ❤️❤️ @shesgonnalive
She’s the one who picked the meatball recipe but I guess she failed to read the part about having to form them with her hands! ??
Over the past few days I’ve been in peak stage-mom mode, organizing applications and running auditions for the kids’ school talent show. I don’t know what it is but I LOVE little kid talent shows. I love watching my own kids but I also just love the whole thing. Every bad made up “dance routine” that is really just hand motions. Every pitchy duet worked out at recess. Every earnest kid doing a big number from Greatest Showman or A Star Is Born. Seeing little kids express themselves with the arts, pushing down nerves and taking a risk just makes me giddy. And a little weepy. I might have stifled tears yesterday during a few audition slots just from watching this little slice of childhood joy, as friends showed us what they’d created together. Anyway, this #TBT to my 5th grade talent show felt fitting today. My friend Crystal and I came up with our own routine using our Get In Shape, Girl rhythm ribbons, styled our own outfits, and even made our own backdrop, which will give you a clue as to the song we were dancing to. Did we have any skill? Not really. Did we feel amazing up there? Hell yes we did.
