Life Lately

June 27, 2022

A sweet ending to our trip in Paris (where we met up with my boyfriend and his daughter). We had an amazing time but are ready to head home tomorrow and wear clothes we purchased on purpose! Still no luggage.

Outfit round-up: everything we are wearing was purchased at a Florence H&M, a town where apparently the only sizes available are XS or XXL and everything was either a giant bag or bodycon “club wear” with cut-outs. I cannot begin to explain shopping for my 6 foot plus boys in Italy. Our luggage is still MIA. Jafta’s shirt says he’s in a bicycling club. (??) Kembe’s says Los Angeles in spray paint. Karis’s shirt has a photo of teen Natalie Portman holding a gun, which I would have forbid in the states but pickings were slim. My dress shows my whole bra but it’s the only bra I have. We each have 2-3 outfits that we’ve been washing and then drying by laying about the Airbnb. Each of us has had a day where our stuff didn’t dry so we just wore our clothes wet. We bought 2 suitcases outside the train station and everything gets shoved in those in between cities. It’s all less than ideal but we are having fun. Rome is beautiful. My kids make me laugh.
