Last night during Beer and Hymns, @amygrantofficial showed up to join us, and the audience begged her to play El Shaddai. She grabbed Chad’s guitar and started singing, and suddenly the tent burst into song. Many of us grew up on her songs but many of us have ambivalence or pain around our evangelical past.
