Yesterday I was finally able to finish laying the flooring to the entrance of my house, which has looked like a construction zone for nearly a year. It’s amazing how much peace I feel with everything back in place. And update on the white walls: they are growing on me.
Take-away’s from last nights neighborhood cocktail hour: 1) I have the best neighbors 2) I cannot drink white wine for four hours without paying for it the next day. Ouch.

Earlier this week I got to tour the facilities at @project.hope.alliance, a local organization serving home-insecure youth here in Orange County. Despite what the shiny reality shows may tell you, our community has a very significant homeless population that affects many youth, and I love what they are doing.
