I recently had a bout of guilt about not being a crafty mom, so I did what any logical mother would do and I took them to an expensive pottery-painting place.
If you thought I was going to say that I went to Michael’s and bought craft supplies, well . . . I’m sorry to disappoint. That store gives me hives. I’m quite content outsourcing any and all crafts to avoid that place.
At least I was content until I saw the bill. These tiny little pieces of pottery, along with the required sitting fee and tip, put me back about $100 bucks. Perhaps my Michael’s aversion should be revisited.
Anyways, I just wanted to show you the amazing results of their work.
I know what you are thinking . . . and yes. It is a little unfair that so much artistic ability was concentrated into one family.
Let’s get a closer look at that “princess”. You can pin this if you want:
Seriously, though. What is with pinterest and these crafts for kids? I fail to believe that children have had a hand at any of the crafts on pinterest. I think it’s mothers putting this stuff together and then ushering their kid into the room for a photo. Because kids’ crafts, actually made by kids, are ugly. There I said it.
