I want you to know that it’s normal to push your older child away when you have anew baby. It’s
normal to feel at times like you dislike them. That they are taking
precious time away from your new little one. It’s normal to need to get
away from them for their own safety.
It’s normal to go from weeping to
yelling. And it’s normal to be irritated by everything- down to someone
looking at you the wrong way.
I want you to know that it can last a long
time, I am still in the process of trying to overcome it myself. I want
you to know that it’s okay if you feel like you can’t do it anymore and
you need to call somebody. Sometimes just a drive around the block or
going outside for a minute can help…
I want you to know that it’s okay
to set your baby down in a safe place and go get some fresh air- crying
won’t hurt them.
